About this event

As we transition from the COVID-19 health emergency response to a period of recovery that may last decades, what do we see as our highest priorities and greatest challenges? In May, 2021, Volunteer Fairfax surveyed Northern Virginia Volunteer Managers and CEOs to learn where they see the greatest areas of need in communities affected by the pandemic and if their organizations are “rested and ready” to recruit and deploy volunteers to meet those needs. This is an opportunity to learn how 70 leaders in more than 50 area organizations of all sizes and mission areas are preparing for the long recovery ahead. Plus you will learn what is the one big thing they said will amplify the impact of volunteerism at a time when it is needed most. Join Volunteer Fairfax CEO Steve Mutty in a discussion about the region’s readiness to mobilize volunteers to help communities recover and thrive post-pandemic, and how the unprecedented conditions we faced over the past year have changed the way we will do this important work. This webinar was originally presented at the Points of Light Foundation Global Conference in July 2021.
